Esports & Digital Culture
Inside the culture. Not outside looking in.
With BS+COMPETITION, bürosüd plus runs its own international esports team. We experience sim racing, gaming communities, platforms and digital competition culture from within rather than from a distance.
For us, esports is not an isolated discipline. It is part of a broader shift in how motorsport, technology, content and communities increasingly connect.
BS+COMPETITION
BS+COMPETITION competes in major international online competitions and selected live events, with drivers from different countries.
The team operates in an environment where competition, technology, content and community come together in real time. That makes BS+COMPETITION more than a racing team. It is also a platform for experimentation, learning and direct participation in digital culture.
We see first-hand how audiences behave, how communities form around competition, how platforms shape interaction and how content travels within digital-native environments.
WHEN REAL AND VIRTUAL RACING CONVERGE
The boundaries between real-world motorsport and sim racing are becoming increasingly fluid.
Drivers move between physical and virtual competition. Racecraft, preparation, data analysis and performance thinking transfer across both environments. At the same time, audiences increasingly experience motorsport across tracks, simulators, streams, social platforms and gaming communities.
We call this convergence Hybrid Racing.
For BS+COMPETITION, Hybrid Racing is not a theoretical trend. It is something we actively explore through projects that bring together drivers from both worlds and test how skills, stories and communities can move between them.
That perspective gives us a deeper understanding of where motorsport culture is heading — and how brands can participate in it credibly.
WHAT WE LEARN
BS+COMPETITION gives us direct access to gaming culture, communities and digital-native audiences.
We experience first-hand how platforms work, how communities respond, how content performs and how brands are perceived in competitive digital environments.
Hybrid Racing adds another layer to that learning. It shows us how physical and virtual experiences can reinforce each other — and how new audiences, formats and narratives emerge when both worlds connect.
Those insights feed directly back into our client work at bs+. We do not advise brands on esports, gaming and digital culture from the outside. We bring practical experience from within these ecosystems.
